Gov. Kemp: Georgia Unemployment at Lowest in State History

Atlanta, GA – Today, the Georgia Department of Labor released the record-breaking November jobs report for the state of Georgia. The unemployment rate hit the lowest percentage in state history, at 3.3%. The total number of jobs in Georgia also set a record high of 4.64 million jobs, and the number of employed Georgians achieved a record high of 4.96 million.

GreenView Floors International, Inc. to Create 238 Jobs in Adairsville-Bartow County

Atlanta, GA – Governor Brian P. Kemp today announced that GreenView Floors International, Inc., a leading manufacturer of vinyl and laminate flooring, will establish its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Bartow County. The China-based company will create 238 jobs and invest $26 million in Adairsville.

Gov. Kemp: Dozier Named TCSG Commissioner, Arthur Named PSC Executive Secretary

Atlanta, GA – Yesterday afternoon, the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) State Board voted unanimously to hire Governor Kemp’s Chief Financial Officer Greg Dozier as its new Commissioner, effective January 1, 2020. November Tax Revenues Down 1.2%

Atlanta, GA - The State of Georgia’s net tax collections in November totaled almost $1.81 billion for a decrease of $22.4 million, or -1.2 percent, compared to Fiscal Year (FY) 2019 when net tax collections totaled $1.83 billion. Year-to-date, net tax revenue collections totaled $9.62 billion for a decrease of roughly $33.6 million, or -0.3 percent, compared to FY 2019.
