Governor Kemp Names Three New Appointments

Atlanta, GA – Today Governor Brian Kemp announced the appointment of Robyn Crittenden to be the Commissioner of the Department of Revenue (DOR), Shawnzia Thomas to become Executive Director of the Georgia Technology Authority Board (GTA) and the state's Chief Information Officer, and Jessica Simmons to be Deputy Chief Information Officer for Broadband and Special Projects at GTA.

Governor Kemp Appoints New Child Advocate

Atlanta, GA – Today Governor Brian Kemp swore in Jerry Bruce as Georgia's Child Advocate. Mr. Bruce fills the vacancy left by the April 2021 resignation of Rachel Davidson and was selected following the formation and recommendation of a three-member nominating committee.

Gov. Kemp Announces Opening of Semperit Industrial Products Americas Headquarters, Manufacturing Facility in Coweta County

Atlanta, GA – Governor Brian P. Kemp today announced that Semperit Industrial Products, an international provider of highly specialized rubber products for customers within the industrial and medical sectors, will expand its presence in Georgia. With the opening of the company’s new Americas headquarters and manufacturing facility in Coweta County, Semperit will have the ability to better serve its customers across both North and South America. The investment volume totals $9 million, and the company plans to create 70 jobs in Newnan, Georgia.
