Atlanta, GA – At 11 AM, Governor Brian P. Kemp appointed Jacquice Stone to serve as Ombudsman in the Office of Disability Services Ombudsman. The Office of Disability Services Ombudsman is responsible for promoting the safety, well-being, and rights of individuals with disabilities in Georgia.

Jacquice Stone holds years of experience in the mental health field as a case manager, in-home therapist, and Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team therapist for children and adults across Alabama and Georgia. Stone earned a bachelor's degree in Human Services from the University of South Alabama and master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. Stone is a native of Mobile, Alabama and currently resides in Sandy Springs with her daughters, Lyric and Melody.

"In her capacity as Ombudsman, Jacquice Stone will fight for the rights of individuals in Georgia's disability community and serve our state with honor and distinction. I am honored that she accepted this appointment to work in my administration, and I look forward to working with her in the years ahead," said Governor Kemp.
