Kemp's Georgians First Commission Holds First Meeting
Atlanta, GA – Today, the Georgians First Commission held their first meeting. The Commission was created by Governor Kemp to identify government red tape, eliminate burdensome regulations, and ultimately make Georgia the best state in the nation for small business.
"This experienced team of leaders will bring private-sector solutions to make Georgia a better place to live, work, and build a business," said Governor Kemp. "The Georgians First Commission will work to create an environment where small businesses can hire more Georgians, expand operations in their local communities, and create greater economic opportunity in every part of our state."
“Our team is excited to begin the work of streamlining state government. By listening to hard-working Georgians our goal will be to make Georgia the most innovative and attractive state for small business. With a data-driven approach, we will produce tangible results, unleashing the ingenuity of Georgia entrepreneurs and empowering Georgians through small business ownership.” – Scott Hilton, Director of Implementation, Georgians First Commission
“I am honored to have an opportunity to serve the people of Georgia, and I’m excited to help Governor Kemp fulfill one of his promises to make our state’s agencies and regulations easier to navigate for small business owners.” – James Whitley, Co-Chair, Georgians First Commission
"Since Governor Kemp created the Georgians First Commission in January, we have received hundreds of calls and emails from business owners across the state. The small business community is actively engaged and has already started offering innovative solutions to improve and streamline state government. Under the leadership of Governor Kemp and Director Scott Hilton, I have no doubt Georgia will become the number one state for small business. " – Cade Joiner, Co-Chair, Georgians First Commission
